Celebrating Our First Ever Marshon Launch Intensive
Updated: Jul 3
What a weekend. We are incredibly proud to celebrate the success of our very first Marshon Launch Intensive! Across two incredible days, eight Marshon creatives stepped into leadership roles, sharing their movement, knowledge, and unique artistic voices with a room full of dancers.
The Marshon Launch Intensive was created to provide opportunities for the next generation of artists and creative leaders to develop their teaching practice while inspiring others through their work. Watching these eight teachers take ownership of their classes and confidently share their craft was a powerful reminder of how much talent exists within our community.
Meet the Launch Intensive Faculty
We began the weekend with Mia, one of Marshon’s original members and a valued part of the company since 2016. As a dancer, choreographer, and teacher within our Academy programme, she continues to inspire the next generation through her creativity.
Luke followed with fresh energy and enthusiasm, encouraging dancers to push their creative boundaries and build confidence within his choreography.
We were then proud to welcome UPG’s D-Nice and Tytan. Renowned for their impact on the battle scene and wider dance community, they brought a wealth of knowledge and authenticity, challenging and inspiring dancers throughout the weekend.
Zen Rose, another of our original members, shared her unique approach to movement, bringing her unique essence and artistry that resonated throughout her class and left a lasting impression.
Jamai, who has been part of the Marshon company since 2016, brought joy to the room with his choreography. His expression and creativity inspired dancers to pursue their goals with confidence.
Bella brought positivity and a fresh perspective to the intensive, encouraging participants to take risks, embrace new challenges, and continue developing their individual style and artistic choice.
Another original Marshon member, Mira, she led a dynamic choreography session and through her class, challenged dancers to refine their performance quality and musicality through movement.
Together, this outstanding faculty created an unforgettable experience, leaving dancers inspired, challenged, and excited for what comes next.
Closing the weekend was our Co-Director, Melody, whose passion for developing artists and building community has been at the centre of Marshon since day one.
More than anything, this weekend was a celebration of progression. Many of these teachers started their journeys with Marshon as young dancers in our training and performance programmes. To now see them leading classes, inspiring others and developing into respected creatives in their own right is exactly what Marshon is about.
A huge thank you to every dancer who attended and to every teacher who shared their art, you all helped make the first Marshon Launch Intensive such a success!
This was only the beginning.
